The importance of a judge’s order in the courtroom

WOTV4Women

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) – When you are in a courtroom and the judge states that he or she is ordering you to do something, it is effective immediately. Simply because it has not been put in writing does not mean it is not already effective. The judge simply does not give a suggestion, an idea, or a thought. It is an order that you are bound to follow. Therefore, bring a notepad and a pen with you when going in front of a judge. Keep notes specifically on what the judge is telling you to follow and what the judge is telling the other party to follow. If you need it repeated, it is acceptable to go through it one final time before leaving the courtroom.
