I LOVE Sandalwood scent!  I really do.  It is one of those scents that can change my whole mood.  It has a woodsy yet somewhat sweet smell that also blends well with other scents.  The aroma of sandalwood has been shown to bring about a sense of calmness, reducing anxiety. Sandalwood has also been reported to boost memory and improve mental clarity. 

When used in conjunction with skincare, sandalwoods high content of antioxidants can help reduce damage caused by free radicals, which promote aging. Sandalwood is also an anti-inflammatory and can provide relief from mild skin inflammation such as insect bites, contact irritations, or other skin conditions.

You can get some Sandalwood in your life as an essential oil, in your skincare products, in a candle.  When it is cold outside the warm woodsy scent of sandalwood is going to bring you a sense of peace and calm with a grounding presence.
