This mother’s day we’re celebrating moms! We asked you to put your mom in the spotlight and tell us what makes her so special. Nominations from across West Michigan poured in to the WOTV 4 Women office and we narrowed it down to five winning moms to spotlight. Each mom gets a winning video highlighting her nomination and a $100 Design One gift card. We will be spotlighting each winning mom right here on wotv4women.com and on-air each night between 8pm-11pm on MY ABC WOTV 4!

“My mother is the most selfless person on this earth. After raising 5 kids spread out within 18 years, working up to the day of each delivery and retiring last year after 40 years of dedication to one company and married to the our dad for 42 years now.
Our mom deserves the world and I would love to see her have her day! I am the oldest and have watched all the ups & downs of our family had endured and never once saw her break down or give up. I have watched my mom wear my old glasses that were taped in 3 different areas for over 10 years and refused to go get a new pair because every penny she had was used to help someone out.
At one point in my life we had 13 people living in the home and she was the only one working & supporting all 13. Her door was always open to anyone. She has helped everyone, even including our close friends in their time of need.
Her husband, children and grandchildren are her priority. All of her seven grandchildren love her so much. All the kids think she is hilarious and has a hard time telling them ‘no’. She never judges anyone and always believes that people deserve second changes. Everyone makes mistakes and she will love you no different if a mistake is made.
Recently I was injured and she checked on me, visited me, offered to take me to any appointment. Anytime anyone of us are sick or injured, she is there in a heartbeat. When our dad had cancer, we all cried and were worried. She held it all together and was more concerned that everyone else was ok.
Mom does not like to be the center of attention but for one day I want all eyes on her. She needs to know how much she is appreciated from all of us. I want her to have a day where she is not worried about everyone else or driving all over town to get everyone to where they need to go or have to run errands.
I could write a book about my mom but to narrow her down, she is our Queen and deserves to be Queen of the day!”
