GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - For most, Christmas is a time for family and loved ones. But for some, the holiday season is a reminder of what they are missing.
That’s the reality for many of the residents at Wedgwood Christian Services who are celebrating without their family on Christmas morning.
Enter Women of Wedgwood. They assure that every child has something special to look forward to on Christmas.
Each child crafts their own, unique wish list. Personal shoppers purchase presents for the kids and the women wrap the gifts with care.
Who are the Women of Wedgwood? They are an active and intergenerational advisory council that meets quarterly over lunch to hear from a variety of Wedgwood staff members about the transformative programs and the needs of those receiving services. Members of this council take action and serve as ambassadors of the agency and our mission year round.
