Salvation Army’s KROC Center provides more than a gym

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) – Physical health is an important part of well-being, but it can be difficult to find an affordable place to exercise. The Salvation Army provides such a place with the Ray & Joan KROC Center.

Located at 2500 Division Ave, the 105,00 square-foot facility is both a fitness center and a church. Its facilities include a pool, gym, and a climbing wall. They also provide a number of fitness and education programs along with various community services.

The KROC Center has both affordable membership options along with day pass options to ensure the right fit for individual families. Scholarships are also available for those who qualify for assistance.

Like the rest of the Salvation Army’s programs, the KROC Center is dependent on donations to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle fund to continue to serve the community. Learn more how you can join and get involved.

The Salvation Army is currently in the middle of its annual Angel Tree campaign to provide Christmas gifts for children who otherwise may not receive any. Find out how you can help provide a brighter Christmas to kids in need.
