Kids in attendance at the Maranda Park Party in Muskegon are in for a special treat with the opportunity to meet, and learn from, two-time Olympic gold medalist and world champion soccer player Lindsay Tarpley at Community Kicks. The best part? Like all other activities at the Maranda Park Party, it is completely free of cost!
This 60 minute clinic, sponsored by Milk Means More, is for children of any skillset who want to learn some tips straight from a pro. Tarpley described her desire for participating in this event.
Many children do not have access to programs that teach soccer basics, and I hope to instill some of the ideals I have learned while playing soccer as a child that have shaped who I am today.” – Lindsay Tarpley
Community Kicks provides kids with the opportunity to learn great skills and have a great time doing it. In addition to learning some fundamental soccer tips, the children in attendance will also learn some valuable life skills and nutrition tips that will benefit them on and off the field.
Kids will work with Lindsay from 12-1pm and enjoy a nutritious lunch afterwards. Attendees will also leave with a small soccer ball, nutrition materials, and a poster of Lindsay Tarpley.
It’s a great opportunity for potential future soccer stars, or just soccer lovers, to learn some amazing new skills!
