Have you ever opened the freezer hoping to treat yourself to some ice cream, but you find that there isn’t any left? Don’t worry! Milk Means More is here to tell us how we can make our own ice cream at home, and it’s not as hard as you think! 

To celebrate July being National Ice Cream Month, here’s a Milk Means More recipe for how you can make your own ice cream at home without an ice cream maker! Follow along with the video above on how to make your ice cream.

Below is the ingredients you need to make the no-churn ice cream base:

  • 2 cups of cold heavy cream
  • 1 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla

***Key tip: Whip the whipping cream by hand or by mixer before you add the sweetened condensed milk. Whip until the texture is fluffy and creamy, and then add the sweetened condensed milk.

Next is the fun part, creating your own flavor!

Below is ideas for some mix-ins to use to create your flavor!

  • Chopped candy bars
  • Crumbled cookies
  • Chocolate ganache
  • Fruit preserves
  • Nuts and/or seeds
  • Dried fruits
