FLINT, Mich. (WOOD) The West Michigan Maranda Park Party season kicks off at Lamar Park in Wyoming on June 23, but Maranda got summer started a little early with a pop-up Park Party in Flint on June 17. She was inspired to help families and the community of Flint in light of the water crisis, providing them with an afternoon of free family fun.
Maranda partnered with Ferris State University to bring the party to Mott Community College in Flint. The teams all worked together to make the party happen! About 1,000 people came out on a beautiful day for a free fun! The Michigan Department of Education and USDA helped super-size the experience by providing a free healthy lunch for adults as well as children.>>> Photos: Maranda Park Party in Flint
