How to have a healthy relationship with food

Maranda

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Food impacts our lives mostly in positive ways, but sometimes in negative ways. Rebecca Busman, M.A. with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services says when parents talk to their kids about eating, they need to pass on the message of having a healthy relationship with food. That means enjoying things in moderation and not labeling any food as “good” or “bad.” If your child is turning to food for comfort, ask them how they’re feeling instead of focusing on what or how they are eating.
