There are a handful of family fun events going on this weekend around West Michigan!
Saturday, April 13th at 3pm – 4pm
A figure skating show to bring the community together is happening this Saturday at the L.C Walker Arena in downtown Muskegon! Come check out this amazing collaboration between the Lakeshore Figuring Skating Club and the Boys & Girls of the Muskegon Lakeshore! Kids from these two organizations will be putting on an all-inclusive show to bring the entire community together – on and off the ice! A $5 donation is suggestion for the event, but not required!
Saturday, April 13th 10am – 4pm
John Ball Park Zoo’s Super Hero Day at the Zoo is back! Kids can come explore and hang out at the zoo while dressed up as their favorite hero. There will also be tons of superheroes there for them to meet, such as Thor, Black Widow, and Super Girl! Admission for the event is $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 years and young. All zoo activities are included with this price!

Earth Day is coming up on April 22nd and the city of Portage is celebrating with a FREE community event this weekend! Head on down to the Celery Flats Historical Area for this cool event. There will be live music, games, face painting, activities, giveaways to build awareness of environmental issues and provide citizens with the opportunities to be more eco-friendly!
Sunday, April 14th
Gazelle girl takes Girl Power to a whole new level with their annual girls only 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon! Whether you’re looking to run a half marathon or walk a 5K, this event is for you! Grab your girlfriends, mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmas and come on down to Downtown Grand Rapids! The races begin at 7:40am. After the race, there will be a lot of finish line festivities to check out including live music, food trucks, sponsor booths, and more!
