Does your child need an orthodontist?

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Children usually start to see a dentist shortly after their first birthday, but do you know when you should make an appointment for them to see an orthodontist? Kathryn Swan, DDS, MS of Swan Orthodontics recommends bringing in your children around the age of 7, just for a screening, because some of the problems that can develop can’t be seen right away. During that screening they will take photos of the teeth as well as x-rays.

Swan Orthodontics is one of more than 650 members of the West Michigan District Dental Society. To find a member dentist near you, visit their website.
