GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) – Every child deserves access to good dental care. Now, a program supported by West Michigan Dental is making that possible. The ‘healthy kids dental program’ has been in the state of Michigan for awhile, but Kent County has brought it locally. As of October 1st, all Medicaid eligible children, up to age 21, are now covered. This means children can now have their cleanings, exams, X-rays, and anything else they need. 8 out of 10 dentists in Kent County are supporting this program. If you want to see if you’re child is eligible, simply call your dentist to set up an appointment and mention the healthy kids dental program.
