GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Young people are experiencing anxiety, stress, and mental health issues in epidemic numbers. Sadly, few people know this epidemic exists. Parents may not recognize early symptoms or know where to get help and the stigma surrounding mental illnesses makes seeking help even more difficult.

School News Network has a series of article offering a glimpse into the mental health state of children and teens in Kent County schools. Click here to read “Hidden Pain: Bringing Youth Mental Health Out of the Shadows.”

Watch “Maranda Where You Live” on Tuesday, March 29 to hear more about the pressures young people are facing in everyday life. The special edition airs at 4:30 p.m. on WOTV 4 Women.
