Take Steps is the Foundation’s largest nationwide fundraising event where patients, loved ones, friends, and supporters empower and inspire each other to continue the fight against Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, also known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).

Patients and their families are able to connect with the greater IBD Community, helping them understand that they are never alone in this fight.

The 2018 celebration marks a special event for Take Steps – it’s the tenth anniversary! Help and make an impact during the Decade of Difference.

Take Steps works toward raising funds for mission-critical research that will lead to cures and to prove better education and care for those living with IBD. Although treatments have come a long way since 50 years ago, there is still no cure for IBD. Over 50,000 Michigan residents are currently living with IBD and one in every 200 people throughout the world are living with it.

This year the Take Steps celebration will take place on June 23, 2018, with the kickoff starting at 10:00 am and the walk beginning at 11:00 am at John Ball Park Zoo, directly next to the zoo entrance, 1300 Fulton W, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.

To register for the Take Steps walk, you can visit www.cctakesteps.org/lansing2018.

You can form your own team, join an existing team or walk as an individual.

You also have the opportunity to sponsor the walk. Your company can be viewed as a leader in the IBD community as a Take Steps Sponsor. Sponsors are featured on promotions, in communications and prominently at our Take Steps kickoff party and on walk day. Local sponsorship levels can be tailored to fit the goals of your organization.
