The Ionia YAC is a student lead youth advisory council in Ionia County. 9th-12th grade students from Ionia, Portland, Lakewood, Belding, Saranac, and Lowell High Schools.

Throughout the year, students experience leadership, goal-setting, public speaking, team-work, and cultural trainings which help students to become effective at advocating for a positive change in their community.

Each year, students host fundraisers, and work on initiatives that aim to help issues in the community including food insecurity, safe teen driving and their annual leadership camp.
