Dégagé Ministries offers help and hope to homeless and disadvantaged individuals in our community. Responsive programming is designed to address immediate and long-term needs such as overnight respite for women in crisis, food, referral services and hygiene facilities.

IM KIDS 3RD MEAL

IM KIDS 3rd Meal is a  feeding program serving food insecure children in Ionia and Montcalm counties. We formed in 2012 with the mission to end childhood hunger in our communities. With Ionia County and Montcalm counties having 2,950 and 3,280 food insecure children. You can help by packing 3rd lunches, on a one-time basis or monthly. You can also help by donating items for 3rd meals.

KENDALL STREET PANTRY

Kendall Street Pantry is to help end food insecurity for individuals and households in the Battle Creek area by providing 2-3 days worth of food up to once per month. We are set up as a choice pantry, allowing each client the opportunity to select the food needed and wanted. For questions, call 269-964-3663. Plus, you can give from the comfort of your home, with the click of a button.

CHILDREN’S HEALING CENTER

As the nation’s first year-round recreation center where kids with weak immune systems can play in a safe space, the Children’s Healing Center has quickly grown to include a wide range of programs that emphasize research-based play, socialization and learning. Families who worry about a germ-free place to play, have access to the Children’s Healing Center, where there’s no worry, just fun.

MEL TROTTER MINISTRIES

Mel Trotter Ministries works to empower individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the greater Grand Rapids area. 

How to help:

$25/month provides 12 hearty meals for someone experiencing homelessness.

$50/month provides 3 hours of life-changing advocacy.

$100/month provides 1 full day of meals, shelter and advocacy.

 

GROW/ Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women

GROW is a non-profit organization focused on helping women (and men) at various stages of business ownership. GROW works to empower entrepreneurs to launch, advance, and sustain their businesses.

LORI’S VOICE

Lori's Voice provides equipment, educational resources and medical assistance to children with Neuromuscular, Degenerative Diseases and mobility issues.

ELNC

Early Learning Neighborhood Collaborative (ELNC) is a non-profit organization that is vested in changing the current reality of vulnerable children. ELNC works to implement an Early Childhood Education service system aimed at providing, expanding and sustaining the capacity of high quality early care and education programs in the vulnerable neighborhoods of Grand Rapids.

 

HAND 2 HAND

Hand2Hand exists because local children are experiencing hunger, and the weekend is a vulnerable time. Hand2Hand delivers hope to children across West Michigan, ranging from early childhood through high school. By partnering with churches and schools by provide backpacks filled with nutritious food that’s covered in prayer.

How to help:

H.O.P.E. Gathering Place allows people to come together at a centralized location to pack supplemental food items. These items are added to a backpack of weekend food for children, ages 3-18, who may face nutritional gaps.

Goodwill’s focus is to help people obtain work and establish independence. Support and guidance are provided at no cost to individuals to help them achieve their career goals. A range of services are available to help people grow personally and professionally. General services offered include:
