New shows and old favs to premiere Wednesday night on My ABC WOTV 4


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)- If you’re like us you are pumped for the return of the Wednesday night lineup on My ABC WOTV 4.  We can’t wait to see our favorite ABC families and what hilarious things they’ll be doing this season. This season there have been a few switch up’s to the popular night of television. Wednesday night fans can expect to fall in love with some new shows like “Speechless” and “Designated Survivor” along with a continued love affair with old favorites like “The Goldbergs”, “Modern Family” and “Blackish”.

8pm  | The Goldbergs

The premeire episode Pays Homage to 1980s John Hughes classic the”Breakfast Club”. Adam works on his new persona for the first day of high school that he hopes will up his coolness level. Meanwhile, Beverly gets her teaching certification to become a substitute teacher. But when she is demoted to sub-janitor, she sends the Goldberg kids to a Saturday detention, but it is Principal Ball who must oversee the kids. Later, Murray arrives and takes over where he gives an important lesson, on the season premiere.

8:30pm | Speechless (New show!)

This new show is an original family with a child who has Ceberal Palsy.  Maya DiMeo moves her family to a new, upscale school district when she finds the perfect situation for her eldest son, JJ, who has cerebral palsy. While JJ and daughter Dylan are thrilled with the move, middle son Ray is frustrated by the family’s tendencies to constantly move, since he feels his needs are second to JJ Soon, Maya realizes it is not the right situation for JJ and attempts to uproot the family again. But JJ connects with Kenneth, the school’s groundskeeper, and asks him to step in as a his caregiver, and Ray manages to convince Maya to give the school another chance, on the series premiere.

9:00pm | Modern Family

After recent trips take the Dunphys to New York; Mitch, Cam and Lily to the Midwest; and Jay, Gloria, Manny and Joe to Juarez, Mexico; the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan reunites in its eighth season premiere with all of the families converging at home for Father’s Day, on “Modern Family,”.

9:30pm | Blackish

Dre decides to take his family to Walt Disney World on the magical, first-class vacation experience he was never able to have as a kid. With the help of a VIP tour guide, Dre and the kids take full advantage of their VIP status. Meanwhile, Bow, Pops and Ruby set off on their own adventure at Walt Disney World, on the season three premiere of “black-ish,”

10pm | Designated Survivor (new series)

Kiefer Sutherland stars as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member who is suddenly appointed President of the United States after a catastrophic attack on the U.S. Capitol during the State of the Union, on the highly anticipated ABC series “Designated Survivor,” airing WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT). In this dramatic thriller, Kirkman will struggle to keep the country and his own family from falling apart, while navigating the highly volatile political arena and while leading the search to find who is responsible for the attack.
