We’ve rain and thundershowers overnight and the Holland Area has seen 1 1/2 to 2 1/2″ of rain in the last 60 hours.  It’s damp, but the water has soaked in pretty well.  Much of the day will be dry.

There is still a lot going on this Sunday at Tulip Time – the carnival, the art fair, the marketplace, the tall ship is still behind the Boatwerks restaurant.  The tulips and blossoms in Holland are looking magnificent.  These are tulips on Van Raalte Ave. by the Boatwerks Restaurant and Kollen Park.  That’s a light pole in the middle, BTW.  There are roughly five million tulips in the immediate Holland area.  Drive down the tulip lanes and see the colorful display of flowers and blossoms.  Or you could do some shopping, grab a bite to eat, visit Windmill Is., Dutch Village or Veldeer’s Tulip Gardens.  Like I said, much of the day will be dry with fairly light winds – jacket weather. with temps. in the low-mid 60s in the mid-afternoon.  A special Happy Mother’s Day to all today.
