The average high temperature for today (11/27) is 42. At 1 pm, temps. are in the upper 20s. So far, the month of November is 5.4 deg. colder than average and 21 of 27 days have been colder than average. We’ve already had 14″ of snow in G.R. – that’s more than double the Nov. average of 6.8″. Other season snowfall totals: Kalamazoo 16.6″, Lansing 11.8″, Muskegon 10.8″. We have had only 9% of possible sunshine so far this month (and no sun that I’ve seen so far today). My solar panels are going to file for unemployment compensation. The pic. above is S. Haven – where the waves were crashing over the breakwall and it was snowing lightlly.
Here’s U.S. snowcover today (11/27). 31.5% of the U.S. had snow on the ground this AM. That compares to just 4.0% last year on 11/27 and 15.4% on 11/27/16.
Here’s a pic. from our Kalamazoo Skycam of a snowy Bronson Park. Here’s snow on the ground in MI this AM: 12″ Herman (U.P.), 8″ Hopkins and Ironwood, 7″ Charlotte, Painesdale, Hancock and Michigamme, 6″ Lansing, Kalamazoo, Watton, 5″ Holland, East G.R., Grandville, Eaton Rapids, Jacobsville, Newberry, 4″ Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Marquette, Paulding, Champion, Covington, Munising, 3″ Fremont, Big Rapids, Alma, Kent City, Marshalll, S.
