Here’s a look at some very frigid low temps. early Monday AM (1/21/19). The coldest spot was -33° in Rudyard (south of S. Ste. Marie, on I-75). The coldest spot in West Michigan was an agricultural site in Lawrence in Van Buren County, where they reached -25°. Other cold spots in our area: -22° Watervliet, -21° Baldwin and -20° in Hastings. Gaylord set a record low temp. of -23°.

Here’s a look at national low temps. Monday AM – The cool air got all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico, with lows of 35 in Houston, 30 in Mobile, 36 in Daytona Beach and 38 at Orlando. There were a total of 21 states that had at least one spot get below zero Monday AM. The temperature reached -33° at Crane Lake and Ely MN and Rudyard MI.
