Hudsonville 12-U softball going to regionals

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — Hudsonville’s 12-U Little League softball team has advanced to the regional tournament to be played in Indiana next week.

The team recently won its state championship game with a come-from-behind victory in the final inning.

“It was really fun and exciting,” catcher Paige Rylaarsdan said. “And it was kind of stressful at the same time.”

“We’re going to have to put forth a lot of work and just work hard as a team and encourage each other,” pitcher Sydney Bosgraaf said. “I think we can do it if we just do our best and work hard.”

Hudsonville opens pool play next Monday. It will have two pool play games before advancing to the elimination round.

“You’re not just representing yourself. You’re representing a whole new thing so then you want to win not only for yourself, but for your team and for Hudsonville,” Avery Hobson added.
