EAST LANSING, Mich. (WOOD) — Frankfort hit one free throw with six seconds on the clock to edge Tri-Unity Christian in a Division 4 state semifinal played at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.
The Defenders mounted a furious second-half rally, erasing a 23-point deficit with a 27-2 run. Tri-Unity regained the lead at 39-37 late in the fourth quarter.
After the Panthers scored six straight points to build a 43-39 lead, the Defenders answered with a pair of baskets to tie the game.
Bennett Sinner had 16 points to lead Tri-Unity. Elijah Badgero had 10 points and Brady Titus added nine.
Tri-Unity finishes its season 22-4.
