GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — High school sports playoffs continued to move Wednesday with more West Michigan teams in action.

In Division 2 boys lacrosse, Forest Hills Central defeated Orchard Lake Saint Mary 19-3. It was FHC’s fifth consecutive win by double figures.

The Rangers will take on East Grand Rapids in the state title game, following the Pioneers’ 16-3 win over Grosse Pointe North. The two teams are familiar with each other, both playing in last year’s state championship game. It was EGR taking the 11-9 victory in that contest. The rematch will take place in Howell at 2 p.m. Saturday.

In Division 2, the East Grand Rapids girls lacrosse team wasn’t quite as fortunate, falling to Okemos 10-9 in the state semifinals. East Grand Rapids defeated Okemos 14-11 in an earlier meeting this year.

Rockford blew out Hartland in the Division I state semifinals 25-8, advancing to the championship game against either Bloomfield Hills or Brighton. That game will be 2 p.m. Saturday.
