BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids Christian earned a key OK Gold victory Friday night, knocking off South Christian, 54-42.  

After South Christian took a 26-24 lead early in the second half, the Eagles outscored the Sailors by 14 points to earn the victory.

In other high school hoops action, Catholic Central earned a 72-58 victory over Wayland. 

It was the Cougars’ second victory in as many nights and gave Catholic Central the championship title during the 3rd annual Legends Invitational held at Aquinas College.  

Other highlights:

  • Forest Hills Northern cruised to a 94-49 victory over Greenville.
  • Grand Haven earned a 57-50 win over Jenison.
