GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — For the voice of the Grand Rapids Griffins, there’s nothing quite like the excitement of the Calder Cup Playoffs and the high stakes of an elimination game.
Bob Kaser has been calling Grand Rapids Griffins games since 2000. He was in the booth at Van Andel Arena last year when the Griffins clinched the Calder Cup on home ice.
The defending champs have tied up their first-round series in this season’s Calder Cup Playoffs. If they lose Monday’s deciding Game 5, they’re done.
Above, Kaser talks about what the Griffins need to do on the ice Monday and what the Calder Cup Playoffs mean for the community.
The puck drops at 7 p.m. Monday at Van Andel Arena.
