KENT CITY, Mich. (WOOD) — Saugatuck outscored Kent City 28-7 in the second half to defeat the Eagles 49-28 in an MHSAA Division 7 playoff game.    

The Indians scored on touchdown runs of 55, 70, and 99 yards in pulling away from the Eagles. 

Kent City’s Gio Weeks scored the third of his three touchdowns to pull the game even at 28-28 midway through the third quarter.  It was a 24-yard run for the Eagles workhorse.   

Saugatuck advances to face Pewamo-Westphalia, a rematch of last year’s Division 7 state championship, which the Pirates won 21-0.
