Early signing day: W. MI recruits announce commitments

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Several West Michigan athletes are announcing what schools they will be taking their talents to after high school.

College football’s early signing period runs Wednesday to Friday, but most students are expected to commit Wednesday.

West Michigan athletes who have announced their commitments include:

East Kentwood

  • Logan Brown – Wisconsin
  • Stevan Bracey – Wisconsin (signing ceremony at East Kentwood from 5-7 p.m.)
  • Mazi Smith – University of Michigan (signing ceremony at East Kentwood from 5-7 p.m.)

Muskegon

  • Anthony Bradford – Louisiana State University
  • Ali’Vonta Wallace – Western Michigan University (signing ceremony at noon in Muskegon gym)

South Christian

  • Spencer Holstege – Purdue (signing ceremony at noon at South Christian)
  • Zeeland East
  • Adam Berghorst – Michigan State University (signing ceremony at 3 p.m. at Zeeland East)
  • Boone Bonnema – Western Michigan University (signing ceremony at 3 p.m. at Zeeland East)

Mona Shores

  • Jacob Wahlberg – Purdue
  • Damari Roberson – Western Michigan University

Forest Hills Central

  • Tate Hallock – Michigan State University

Paw Paw

  • Karsen Barnhart – University of Michigan (signing ceremony at 3 p.m. at Paw Paw High School)
