Lions’ schedule released, open season on MNF

DETROIT (WOOD) — The Detroit Lions will open their season on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets.

The game is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Sept. 10 at Ford Field in Detroit.

The Lions will also appear on a Sunday Night Football game Sept. 23 against New England and take on the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving.

Detroit will play home games against the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. It will visit San Francisco, Dallas, Miami, Minnesota, Chicago, Arizona, Buffalo and Green Bay.

Week 6 will be the Lions’ bye week this year. The team has had a bye week in the middle of the season for the last five years.
