Detroit Lions 2016 schedule: 2 games on national TV

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WOOD) — The Detroit Lions’ 2016 home opener has been scheduled for Sept. 18 against the Tennessee Titans.

The Lions announced their 2016 regular season schedule on Thursday. They start the season in Indianapolis on Sept. 11 with a matchup against the Colts, then return to Ford Field the next weekend for their first home game.

They have two nationally televised games: the first on CBS against the Minnesota Vikings on Thanksgiving (Nov. 24) and the second on ESPN’s Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 26.>>PDF: Complete schedule and where to watch

The team’s bye week is Nov. 13, and the regular season wraps up at home against the Green Bay Packers on Jan. 1.
