Boys basketball: South Christian hangs on to win

BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids South Christian’s Tyler Buwalda hit a three-pointer with under a minute to play and the Sailors hung on for a Division 2 district semifinal victory over Godwin Heights 47-45 Wednesday night at South Christian High School.

Just moments earlier, James Horrell buried a three-pointer for the Wolverines, giving Godwin Heights a 45-43 lead. 

South Christian advances to face Kentwood Grand River Prep, which knocked off West Michigan Aviation Academy 63-41.
