Wyoming retail fraud assault suspect in police custody


WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say the man who allegedly threatened an employee with a knife during a retail fraud incident Monday is in custody.

It happened around 3 p.m. in the 1100 block of 28th Street SW, according to a Wyoming Department of Public Safety news release.

The suspect fled the scene in a gold Jeep Cherokee. Police said Wednesday the suspect had been identified and taken into custody after they shared out photos of the man.

No one was hurt during the incident. Police are still investigating.
