ROTHBURY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman says her husband wanted to return to a party when he jumped out of their moving pickup truck and died.

The incident happened near Winston and Bartlett Roads in Oceana County’s Rothbury Township around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

WPBN reports the wife of Donald Pider, 34, is charged with operating while intoxicated.

She told authorities she had been arguing with her husband who wanted to return to a party when he jumped out of the vehicle she was driving.

Pider was lying unresponsive on the side of the road when deputies arrived.

The sheriff’s department says both were intoxicated and the man died while being taken to a hospital. His 33-year-old wife was jailed, pending formal charges.
