GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A multi-vehicle crash involving a Rapid bus shut down westbound I-96 at the I-196 split in Grand Rapids for about an hour Tuesday morning.
Michigan State Police say a Rapid bus and two or three cars were involved in the crash around 9 a.m. It’s unclear what led up to the crash.
A still image from a Michigan Department of Transportation camera showed the Rapid Go!Bus on its side and emergency crews on the scene.
Police say two people suffered minor injuries including the bus driver.
The westbound lanes of I-96 at I-196 were closed for an hour before reopening around 10:20 a.m.>>Current traffic conditions
