GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — WOOD TV8 honored our veterans by sharing their stories ahead of Veterans Day.

Our special Veterans Voices program aired at 7 p.m. Friday on WOOD TV8.

We looked at how Kent County is working to get resources to more veterans, spoke to a Marine veteran who shipped out to the Korean War without attending boot camp, learned about a female sailor’s experiences in the Navy in the 1970s and more.
