WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — An ambulance was among three vehicles involved in a crash that closed some lanes of a busy Kent County corridor and knocked out power to the area.
The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday on southbound Alpine Avenue near 3 Mile Road NW in Walker, just south of I-96.
Authorities say no one was injured in the crash.
The impact of the crash sent an ambulance into a utility pole, knocking down power lines. As a result, more than 1,700 homes and businesses in the area that were without power at one point.

Alpine Avenue was also down to one lane in both directions as authorities responded to the scene. All lanes have since reopened.
It’s unclear what led to the crash.
