GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Work continues on the I-96 and East Beltline reconfiguration and this weekend will bring some new closures.

Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, the ramp from southbound East Beltline to westbound I-96 will close through Oct. 25. The ramp from northbound East Beltline to westbound I-96 will stay open.

Single-lane closures along westbound I-196 will also go into place between I-96 and Fuller Avenue starting at 9 p.m. Friday and run through October 25.

Also, happening this weekend there will be intermittent closures of westbound I-96 at Fulton Street from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday. Those closures will be in 15 minute increments.

Westbound I-196 will close from 1 a.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Saturday from I-96 to Fuller Avenue.

Finally, the ramp from Fulton Street to westbound I-96 will close from 9 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday.
