MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — The Detroit Regional Chamber’s annual business conference on Mackinac Island wrapped up Friday.
The conference was attended by over 100 government officials at the local, state and federal levels.
During the three-day event, Michigan’s major-party gubernatorial candidates met for a joint debate. The candidates gave contrasting answers about issues like roads and education, many of which fell on party lines.
As the conference wrapped up, Gov. Rick Snyder spoke about the difference in Michigan from when he took office eight years ago and gave some perspective on the upcoming election.
