PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people are in the Kent County Jail awaiting arraignment for a gas station robbery in Plainfield Township.

Authorities said in the early morning hours of July 27, two masked gunmen walked into the Circle K at West River Drive and Pinedell Avenue and demanded money. After taking an unspecified amount of cash, the men got away in a nearby vehicle.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department released surveillance images of the two gunmen.

Following up on a tip Tuesday, investigators searched two places and interviewed and arrested three suspects in connection to the crime.

Wednesday Aug. 10, 21-year-old Gabriel Taylor, 19-year-old Emilo Melton and 17-year-old Javier Hernandez are currently being held at the Kent County jail on $100,000 bonds. They are charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The suspects are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 15.
