GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — More than 60 restaurants want you to taste the city of Grand Rapids during Restaurant Week by offering special meal deals.

Restaurant Week Grand Rapids starts Wednesday and runs for nearly two weeks. This year’s theme is “Taste the City.”

Participating restaurants will either offer three-course meals for $28 per person or a three-course meal for two people for $28. Chefs will use locally-grown and produced ingredients in their meals.

Fifteen new restaurants are also joining in on the 7th annual Restaurant Week this year.

One dollar of every meal sold during Restaurant Week will be donated to the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education’s Student Scholarship Fund at Grand Rapids Community College. Since 2010, more than $110,000 has been raised for the scholarship fund.

Restaurant Week Grand Rapids runs from Aug. 10-21.
