Woman killed in Berrien County crash ID’d

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (WOOD) — St. Joseph officers have released the name of a Berrien Springs woman killed in a Berrien County crash.

It happened shortly after 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Port and Wayne streets in St. Joseph, according to a St. Joseph Public Safety Department news release.

Police said Ashley Rae Grubb’s vehicle went off the roadway and hit a tree.

Grubb, 28, had to be freed from the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries, officers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
