COLON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A driver was ticketed after the semi-truck he was driving overturned, spilling cow manure onto a St. Joseph County road.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office said it happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Orla Engle Road and M-66 in Colon Township, near the Indiana border.

The semi-truck, which was hauling liquid cow manure, was turning left onto Orla Engle Road when it overturned, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver told authorities when he made the turn it caused the cow manure to shift inside the tanker, flipping the semi-truck.

Deputies said the driver was taken to hospital and ticketed for the crash. His injuries are unknown.
