MSP: 4 injured in head-on crash in St. Joseph Co.

FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in St. Joseph County Wednesday.

It happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Banker Road east of Sevison Road in Florence Township, near the Indiana border.

Michigan State Police said four people were taken to area hospitals with significant injuries. Some of those injured were not wearing seatbelts.

Troopers believe intoxicants may have contributed to the crash. It’s unknown what led up to the head-on crash. 

State police said the incident remains under investigation.
