GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A driver was able to escape after the car they were racing caught fire in Van Buren County Wednesday night.
It happened at the Gingerman Raceway on County Road 388 in Geneva Township, west of South Haven.
The South Haven Area Emergency Services said in a post on Facebook Thursday morning that the driver was able to escape the burning vehicle but did receive minor burns.
The car was destroyed in the fire, according to the South Haven Area Emergency Services.
It’s unclear what caused the fire.
