BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating after four people were injured in three overnight shootings in Benton Harbor.
The first shooting around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Bishop Avenue near Pipestone Street. A 28-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower leg, according to a Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety news release.
Shortly before 12 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Lakeland Hospital for a report of a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Investigators discovered the man was shot in the 1000 block of Jennings Avenue. The victim suffered serious injuries, the release said.
While investigating the two shootings, officers heard gunshots around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Empire Avenue. Two men were injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital. One received non-life-threatening injuries while other is listed in critical condition, police said.
As of Wednesday morning, there is no suspect information in any of the shootings. It’s unclear if any of the shootings are connected.
