Robber uses screwdriver in Grandville gas station heist

GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — Grandville police are looking for the man who used an unusual weapon to hold up a gas station clerk.

Officers say the suspect walked into the Admiral gas station located at 4315 Chicago Drive, displayed a screwdriver and demanded money from the clerk.

The robber ran from the scene. A K-9 unit tried to track him, but couldn’t sniff him out.

This is the second time in three months that that Admiral gas station was robbed. It’s unclear if the crimes are connected.
