Power restored to 1,200+ Ottawa Co. residents

ZEELAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Power has been restored to more than 1,200 residents in Ottawa County as of Friday morning.

More than 5,000 Consumers Energy customers in Georgetown Township and more than 1,000 customers in the Zeeland area lost power Thursday night.

Consumers Energy tells 24 Hour News 8 that a piece of equipment caught fire, but they do not know the cause of the outage.
