Police seek suspect who stole prescription drugs

SPARTA, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are searching for the man who they say broke into a Sparta pharmacy and stole a large amount of prescription drugs.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Friday at the Hometown Pharmacy located at 11 S. State Street in Sparta, according to a news release from the Sparta Police Department.

Police say the suspect entered the building by smashing out the front glass door, which activated the alarm. By the time police arrived on the scene, the suspect had fled.

The suspect is described by police as a white man around 5-foot-10 and weighs over 200 pounds.
