BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman was critically injured in a crash near Hudsonville Wednesday.

It happened around 5:10 p.m. on 48th Avenue near Tyler Oaks Drive in Blendon Township. A driver was leaving a driveway and failed to yield the right of way, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said in a release. It said she crashed with another car, driven by a 20-year-old woman from Lambertville.

The first driver, a 32-year-old woman from Hudsonville, was pinned in her car, deputies say. They say she was freed and then brought to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities say the other driver was treated at the scene and then released.

The crash remains under investigation.
