OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — US-31 Olive Township is back open after a Friday evening semi-truck crash.

Around 9:15 p.m., the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash southbound on US-31 at Van Buren Street.

The sheriff’s office said a 62-year-old woman from Moreno, California, driving a Kenworth Freightliner southbound on US-31. The semi-truck left the roadway and went into a ditch on the right side of the road, causing the semi to fall on its side.

The driver had minor injuries from the crash.

The right lane of southbound US-31 was closed while crews work to get the semi out of the ditch. It has since reopened.

This crash remains under investigation.
