LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are investigating the death of an Ottawa County man whose body was found in a Lake County lake.
It happened around 5:11 p.m. Saturday in Lake Township’s Reed Lake, located about 30 miles southeast of Ludington.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says a boater spotted the body and called 911. The Lake County Sheriff’s Dive Team recovered the body, which investigators identified Monday as 52-year-old Paul Gerard Brown of Marne.
The sheriff’s office is calling the case a possible drowning, but Brown’s cause of death is still under investigation.
